The gallery is situated next to the University of Music and Dramatic Arts, a five minutes walk from the historic city center, right outside the central park surrounding the inner city. It has been renovated in summer 2006 and opened it's doors in October 2006. 300 square meters (ca. 3000 square feet) of exhibition space are dedicated to the appreciation of textile arts, mainly focused on Moroccan Berber carpets and textiles of historic importance and great artistic merit. Nomadic rugs from other origins such as Anatolia, Central Asia, Uzbekistan, Iran / Persia or Tibet or modernist European carpets, rya rugs from Sweden, Finland or other Scandinavian countries complete the rich variety + choice.

The gallery program shows a regular display of high quality vintage Berber carpets and textiles from Morocco and northern Africa, nomadic weavings and felts from central Asia and Anatolia, tribal textiles from Africa, alternating with special exhibitions focusing on specific topics in this field.
